Shine Antony

Shine Antony, Dean Training and Development; Social Outreach (Addl. Charge) of St. Albert's College (Autonomous) and Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science in St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) is a tech-savvy, soft skill trainer, motivational speaker and a strategic planner. He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications. Shine Antony is also well known for Academic Leadership and his keen interest is in the sphere of Teaching and Learning through electronic media, Data Science and IoT. Shine Antony is a national level soft skill trainer and had engaged more than 180 residential camps for college students and youth. He is a recipient of Educational Icon Award 2019 (International Award), Academic Leadership Award 2019 (National Award), Best Nodal Officer Award by Election Commission of India in the year 2018 (National Award), Prakruti Mitra Award and Rakth Daan Award in 2015 (State Level Awards). Shine Antony devised and implemented Vidya Mithre Project – A Skill Enhancement programme for final year undergraduate students in the Parliament Constituency of Ernakulam under the Patronage of Prof. K V Thomas MP’s Vidyadanam Trust. He had also carried out research on “Skill Enhancing of Final Year Degree Students under Vidya Mithe Project”. He has also done consultancy activities for a Navaratna Company. At present he is leading the research on “IoT integrated low-cost Solar Street Lamps under AIDP Project” and “Impact of tour personnel on tourism - strategies to be adopted to enhance their skills” with funding from various sources. Shine Antony also acts as a consultant for national - international accreditation and assessment process and looks into international quality standards. He is keen to set up systems, create and develop policies and develop strategic plans for the educational institutions. He has offered consultancy to 6 Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) at national and regional levels. He is a well-known writer and is an editor for print magazines and online portals at both national and regional levels. He has successfully completed three Books - Foundations of Online Teaching and Learning, Daivadasi Mother Eliswa: Bharathathinte Predhama Sanyasini: Jeevitha Rekha, a historical study book sketching the life of Servant of God Mother Eliswa – the first indigenous nun from India and Chavittunadakam which is a critical study focusing on the cultural art form of the Latin Community in Kerala. He is the Dean, Training and Development; Social Outreach, St. Albert’s College Autonomous. He holds the office of Dean to train and develop the staff members, students and general public. And as the Director, Albertian Centre for Human Resource Development and Research, he has organized a number of Faculty Development Programmes and Training Programs for Collegiate and School teachers. He is also a corporate Human Resource Trainer. He led the International Academic Delegation from St. Albert’s College to Dubai and Malaysia in the year 2018. He led the Indian contingent for the World Social Media Meet in Philippines 2015. Shine Antony led the Indian contingent in the World Youth Day celebrations at Krakow, Poland in 2016 and also led the Indian Team for Cultural Exchange and Heritage studies to Germany, Austria and Czech Republic. He represented India in World Youth Parliament in 2017 at Beijing, China. He has visited 10 countries as well. He also served the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) as the National Youth Advisor from June 2016 to June 2019.
