Abinash John Peter joined the department of Space Science at St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam on 12 November 2018 as Assistant Professor. Abinash completed his master’s degree in Space Science and Technology from St. Albert’s College and completed M.Phil. in Ecological Informatics from the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. He teaches the postgraduate students from the Department of Space Science the courses including but not limited to Astronomy and Astrophysics, Space Dynamics, Space Plasma, etc. Abinash also guides the undergraduate students from the Department of Physics of the college who are interested in carrying out their B.Sc. projects in topics related to Astronomy. As a faculty member of the Department of Space Science and Technology, he carries out social and academic outreach programs including stargazing for the students and the public during important astronomical events such as solar/lunar eclipses, meteor showers, etc.
