Physiology is the scientific study of the chemistry and physics behind basic body functions, from how molecules behave in cells to how systems of organs work together to support the functions of life.
Learning physiology helps us to understand how the body responds and adapts to the challenges of everyday life; it also helps us to determine what goes wrong in disease, facilitating the development of new treatments and guidelines for maintaining human and animal health.
Immunology is the study of the immune system and is a very important branch of medical and biological sciences.
The immune system protects us from infection, through various lines of defense. Immunological research expands our understanding of immunotherapy, autoimmune diseases etc. and leads to development of vaccines against many emerging pathogens.
- Provides knowledge of the correlation between structure and function of organism.
- Creates awareness of various diseases ,their origin and treatment.
- Understanding the efficiency of our immune system
- Applies the knowledge gained, in preventing common diseases rather than curing.
